Our History

Presented by the Stevens Square Community Organization, the Red Hot Art Festival is well established as the Twin Cities’ premier art festival for emerging Minnesota artists. Now in its 14th year, the festival takes place in Stevens Square Park and provides an art and entertainment space for thousands of festival goers during the last weekend of July. Over 200 local artists and 20 bands are featured annually, along with local food vendors. The Red Hot Art festival strives to be accessible and affordable. It’s a great opportunity to connect with local artists and purchase original artwork.

Founded in 1976, Stevens Square Community Organization (SSCO) is one of the longest running community organizations in the Twin Cities. Our goal is to strengthen the Stevens Square-Loring Heights neighborhood by initiating, integrating and implementing our mission statement, a key pillar of which is building community through the arts. For more information on SSCO and the events we put on throughout the year please visit our webpage Facebook.
